With extensive experience in the world of music within different genres, Billy Mendez co-founder of Motel and member of Disco Ruido and Métrika (live act), Mendrix is ​​inspired by blues legends, mainly Muddy Waters, Sister Rosetta Tharpe and Sun House, and sample their sounds by mixing them with original recordings and electronic beats.

In Burning Man 2015, Mendrix presented the first listening of the album at the Mayan Warrior art car. In December, Mendrix debuted the first show with the live lineup at the 2015 Tropic festival sharing the stage with 2ManyDJs, Apparat and The Juan MacLean.
